After graduating as B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Tonmoy started his career with Telecom giant Amdocs where he spent 5 years. He picked up photography as a 12-year-old kid and continued this hobby of creating pretty pictures shooting with a film point & Shoot Camera. It was a fun activity for him and he did not receive any training. On completing Engineering, he gifted himself a DSLR camera and began experimenting with it.
Metamorphosis happened and Tonmoy turned into a wedding photographer. After a short stint with candid wedding photography, in 2011, he went on to produce his first documentary film about the Rock musicians in India. The film was released online and was much appreciated – it went viral! In 2014, NDTV Prime recognized the film and released it non-commercially. Meanwhile Tonmoy was approached by a lot of people to produce wedding films and it was natural for him to move out of his job and make his career in the sphere of photography.
Today, Tonmoy runs the production house “Tonmoy Saha Films & Photography” that specializes in Wedding films & Photography. Since 2011 , it has served many happy clients across the country. The firm employs photographers, cinematographers and editors, who work alongside Tonmoy to deliver exceptional content to its clients.
The production has its own inventory of gear that is required for making films and photographs and is therefore, capable of catering to any corner of the world. In 2016, Nikon inducted Tonmoy in its coveted Nikon Professional Services Program recognizing excellence in his content creation. Only a handful of professionals across globe who use Nikon gear get an opportunity to be a part of this Program.
